How to Set and Enforce Guest List Limits

Updated this week

Setting guest list limits helps you stay within venue capacity and promoter restrictions. You can control how many guests are allowed, track approvals, and prevent over-allocation.

Follow these steps to set and manage guest list limits:

Step 1: From the dashboard, select your tour from the left-side panel.

Step 2: Click the Guest List tab and select the relevant show date.

Step 3: Click Add Total Limits button.

Step 4: The Add Total Limits window will open. Enter the maximum number of guests in the Max number of guests field (e.g., 100).

Step 5: (Optional) Enable Enforce Limit if you want to restrict approvals once the limit is reached.

Step 6: Click Save to apply the limit.

Enforcing Limits

When Enforce Limit is enabled:

  • Users cannot approve more guests than the set limit.

  • Once the limit is reached, approvals are automatically restricted.

  • Admins may still have override capabilities depending on permissions.

Removing or Updating Limits

Step 1: Click Add Total Limits again to open the limit settings window.

Step 2: Update the Max number of guests field as needed.

Step 3: To remove the limit completely, click Remove Limit.

Step 4: Click Save to apply the changes.

Tips

  • Set limits early for high-demand shows.

  • Monitor requested vs approved counts regularly.

  • Adjust limits if venue capacity or allocations change.

Conclusion

You can now set, update, and enforce guest list limits in Daysync to maintain better control over event capacity.
